According to reports exclusively gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com, scouts from English Premier League giants Manchester United are expected in Nigeria before the end of the year.
Sources revealed to Owngoalnigeria.com that already highly respected youth teams in Nigeria have been contacted by the organisers, ahead of the scouting tournament.
Manchester United scout for Africa, will lead three other scouts from clubs affiliated to the Red Devils to Nigeria for the tournament.
” Manchester United scout for Africa got in touch with us. Very funny guy. First day we spoke, he was quick to mention Kelechi Iheanacho and wants to know if they can get his type from the three days event”. One of the organisers Moses Adeleye told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” Iheanacho performances for Manchester City has done a lot to the chances of Nigerian players in Europe, particularly in England. Since his breakthrough Liverpool and Arsenal have all conducted scouting programs in Nigeria”.
